I joined the wonderful JJ team in 2017 as the Principal. My husband and I have a son named Lee who we started fostering in 2016, when he was 12 years old. We have second son named Zachary who is at Junior Junction. My absolute passion in life is to see children living in the fullness of who they are created to be as sons and daughters of God. Because of this passion and my heart for Jesus Christ I left the corporate world after 11 years as an accountant and started a Non-Profit Company called Faith Village. My husband and I have been running a Soup Kitchen in the township of Site 5 since 2010. In 2016 I started a Reading Room in Dunoon which assists kids from the ages of 5 up to 11 with basic English literacy skills. With my experience in the corporate world, coupled with my love for children I hope to bring all that I can to Junior Junction, maintaining and strengthening it as one of the best Pre-Schools in our area.
I have been married for 35 years and have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I started working at Junior Junction in 2005 as an aftercare teacher. In 2007, I started overseeing the running of the aftercare and aftercare staff and in 2012, started overseeing the school operationally together with the Principal, Gen Barthus. My hobbies are gardening, beading, shelling and creative arts.
I love socialising with friends, reaching out to the lost and homeless children and encouraging others. As a teacher, my passion is to see each child reach their full potential and helping them to build up their confidence and self-worth. Seeing the glory of God shining through each of their lives is my heart for the kids at Junior Junction.
I studied Educare at Northlink College, Goodwood Campus. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love solving puzzles and am active and extremely adventurous.
At a very young age, I had a dream of working with children. At Junior Junction, I am living my dream. I have a huge passion for children and it’s a great honour being part of a team that develops children both spiritually and mentally.
I love spending time with my family and have 5 kids ranging from the ages of 3 to 19 years old. My passions in life are being around children and looking after orphans.
As a teacher, I enjoy having fun with the kids in my class and helping them to be creative and develop creative skills.
I love spending time and building relationships with each child I interact with. I qualified as a teacher from Stellenbosch University and taught Grade 6 for four years but my passion and heart’s desire is to enrich children's lives of all ages. Watching them grow and learn is incredibly rewarding, all a privilege and not a job. Walking my two dogs on the beach, raising my beautiful daughter with my husband and spending time with friends and family is what brings me joy whilst not in the classroom. I am honoured to be part of the Junior Junction Team and am extremely excited for all the adventures to come.
I joined Junior Junction in August 2016 and am teaching the 2-3 year old class. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, exploring Cape Town and love playing Sudoku.
As a teacher, I am passionate and extremely privileged to be a part of helping children learn and grow both spiritually and mentally. I love to find fun and exciting ways to teach in the classroom and love being creative.
I am a mother of 3 boys and I joined the Junior Junction family in January 2018. I had 8 years of experience of working with children in an ECD before joining this wonderful team. Before teaching the Eeyores, I was the class teacher of the 3-4 year olds at my previous educare. I am a qualified nurse from Zimbabwe and have completed HIV counselling and testing courses.
It has always been my prayer and passion to work within a Christian school environment. I am passionate about teaching little ones and seeing them grow spiritually, intellectually and physically.
